Top #EarthDay2021 Campaigns
Happy #EarthDay! As sustainability becomes a critical concern (for younger audiences, in particular), brands are stepping outside the box and increasing their commitment to the cause.
Here are four brands going above and beyond this Earth Day:
Segway-Ninebot: “Year of Sustainability”
The global leader in short-distance transportation solutions and robotic service industries announced its “Year of Sustainability” campaign, which will run from Earth Day to Earth Day (April 22nd 2021-April 22nd 2022). The multi-faceted campaign will include brand partnerships, influencer marketing, community events, and cause marketing campaigns.
Segway-Ninebot will also be promoting the release of The Scooter Crossing, a documentary about Graham Pollard’s 4,000 mile coast-to-coast journey on the Transamerica Trail, advocating the use of electric scooters instead over cars for personal transportation.
Carl’s Jr. & Beyond Meat: “Go Beyond”
Carl’s Jr. is inspiring fans to “Go Beyond” this Earth Day by hosting a one-of-a-kind, one day plant-based meat menu takeover at a local restaurant in Los Angeles. Customers can try a complimentary, eco-friendly Beyond Meat item.
Fans of Carl’s Jr. and Beyond Meat who are not able to join the celebration in Los Angeles can enjoy any Beyond Burger for five dollars via an email offer at participating Carl’s Jr. locations throughout the U.S.
Silk: “Climate Warriors”
This Earth Day, Silk is introducing Silk Climate Warriors, an initiative with a suite of resources designed to help people transform from “climate worriers” into “climate warriors.” Turning environmental anxiety into meaningful action, including offering free eco-counseling sessions.
Participants will be encouraged to share experiences surrounding the realities of climate change, learn how to address eco-anxiety, and discover ways to move into action. Silk is also offering tips on sustainable living.
Hyundai: “Because of You”
In partnership with pop icons BTS, Hyundai Motor Company released the video ‘For Tomorrow We Won’t Wait,’ for Earth Day 2021 (April 22). This is Hyundai Motor’s second Earth Day video starring BTS, after last year’s generated over 100 million views on YouTube.
Hyundai Motor has collaborated with BTS on its global hydrogen campaign since last year to spread awareness on the importance of sustainable practices and the future of hydrogen as a source of clean energy under the slogan ‘Because of You.’ The new video shows BTS members taking part in simple eco-friendly activities that can easily be incorporated into everyday routines, in an effort to encourage others to do the same.
